Merchant Accounts

A merchant account allows you to accept credit cards. You will want this if you don't already have an account.

PayPal has no monthly fees and was originally designed for person-to-person transactions like those on eBay. You can use PayPal for your merchant accoun. This is a great way to get started and test the waters. But some will be offput by a PayPal shopping cart. It's a dead giveaway of a small operation. Nevertheless, this is a great service that can save you all those annoying monthly service fees. It's a free credit card acceptance service—save for a modest fee for each transaction. Feel free to demo it by paying me.

Signup with PayPal by clicking on the following graphic.

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

Call Bob Israel at (800) 397-0707 or e-mail him at bisrael@innovativemerchant.com

Be sure to tell 'em that Scott See sent you.

Do NOT sign any leases, or non-cancelable contracts. Bob is one of the few that will show you how to do this.

I recommend asking the companies listed on the gateway page for merchant account provider recommendations. You will want to shop around for the best rates.
